What is an “audio clinic”? It is an easy way to get an adjudication of your Bands performance before you go to the Band Festival. We can not guarantee you will win but we can give you a confidential evaluation of the performance of yourBand festival repertoire and give you a second opinion of your bands performance so you can make adjustments to the music. It is also a good motivating tool as students can hear this performance and evaluate their contribution to it. How is it done?
- Have a “Festival rehearsal” in your band room or on your school stage assuming you were performing at the festival . Make sure you create a festival atmosphere at all times. Invite parents and friends to listen if you wish.
- . The adjudicator is your Tape or C.D. recording of the performance. This is sent to“AUDIO CLINIC”, along with conductor scores for each piece, make sure the bars are numbered . Each section will be evaluated; Woodwinds,Brass & Percussionindividually and of course the full band.
- The comments, motivational and constructive advice will be made by an experienced adjudicator and returned to you as soon as possible.
- It is to your advantage to have your tape in at least a month before the Festival so you can make adjustments and the students ca n see/hear what they have done.
- Has this been done before, yes, with excellent results. All recordings and scores are returned and information is kept in strictest confidence.
Costs are reasonable and depends on the length and the complexity of the scores. Minimum fee would be $75.00.
