Over 50 instrumentalists, conductors and composers gathered at Buckley's Music on Quinpool Road, Halifax to rehearse and celebrate the music of Howard Cable, renowned Canadian composer and arranger. Performers came from Community bands in Cape Breton, Halifax, Kentville and Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. Members started the weekend by attending a concert with Symphony Nova Scotia, entitled "Motown", featuring conductor Cable. The remainder of the weekend was spent in rehearsal preparing a variety of music (along with that of Cable's) for the concert this summer in Annapolis Royal. |
